The Belgrade Marathon slogan, which we proudly emphasize, is “ALWAYS MORE.”
Beyond the idea of making the Belgrade Marathon one of the best in Europe and the world, we aim to provide every runner on the course with a unique and unforgettable experience. At the same time, the marathon promotes the running movement and the overall concept of a healthy lifestyle. In line with our slogan, we wanted to offer even more than that.
We wanted to channel the enormous positive energy from the race courses and the surrounding atmosphere—which this largest sporting event in Serbia has been generating for years—toward higher goals and to help those who need support the most.
– FOUNDATION –
The Belgrade Marathon, as the largest sporting event in Serbia with a tradition spanning nearly four decades, has gained exceptional prestige both nationally and internationally.
Supporting this prestigious race is the fact that the Belgrade Marathon is included in the World Athletics calendar and also holds the status of an event of special significance for the City of Belgrade.
With its great influence and exceptionally positive image, appreciated not only by the running community but also by the general public, the Belgrade Marathon wanted to use this reputation in the noblest way possible and put it at the service of social responsibility.
For this reason, and following the example of the world’s largest marathons, the “Heroes of the Belgrade Marathon” Humanitarian Foundation was established.
