In addition to the idea of making the Belgrade Marathon one of the best marathons in Europe and the world, providing every runner on the course with a unique and unforgettable experience in every race, and promoting the running movement and the entire concept of a healthy lifestyle in the best possible way, in line with our slogan, we also wanted to achieve even more. <\/p>\n
We wanted to direct the tremendous positive energy from the running courses, as well as from around them\u2014an energy that this largest sporting event in Serbia has been generating for years\u2014toward higher goals and help those who need assistance the most.<\/p>\n
The Belgrade Marathon has always devoted great attention to humanitarian work. Support has been provided to various organisations, individuals, institutions, and initiatives. We have been a place of gathering and connection, but also a place where ideas and initiatives for many noble causes are born. Since 2023, we have decided to raise all of this to an even higher level. Because, as we have already emphasised, we always want MORE. <\/p>\n
That is why we decided to establish the humanitarian \u201cHeroes of the Belgrade Marathon\u201d Foundation. The support and assistance that had been provided through various forms of humanitarian work in the past have now been institutionalized, will be implemented in a planned manner, and we are confident that this approach will have an even greater impact. <\/p>\n

The Heroes of the Belgrade Marathon are those participants in our races who have managed to surpass themselves in various ways. Not as elite athletes or top competitors, but as individuals who had to make a superhuman effort simply to finish the race.
Whether by breaking age barriers, pushing the limits of their own abilities in different ways, or taking on challenges that at first seemed impossible despite disabilities, they have shown extraordinary determination. For this reason, they have always been highlighted and honored by us with special awards. <\/p>\n
Inspired by their achievements, the humanitarian foundation was named the \u201cHeroes of the Belgrade Marathon.\u201d Guided by their experiences and driven by their indomitable spirit, we aim to help make some dreams come true, to support and encourage those in need, to teach everyone around us to embrace differences, to make the inaccessible accessible, and to be both support and comfort\u2014but also an additional motivation for ALWAYS MORE. <\/p>\n
